The African Methodist Episcopal Church is a mainline church operating in the doctrinal tradition of the Methodist Church with a hierarchal leadership structure implemented at all levels to ensure we have excellent management and governance over the church body.  Bethel A.M.E. Church operates under this structure and has two primary leadership boards that are ultimately responsible for the operation and management of our society.  

Under the leadership of the Pastor as chairperson of these two boards which consist of the Board of Stewards and the Board of Trustees the work of management and governance are carried out to ensure the ministry integrity of our Church.   As an organized body the local church benefits from the structured approach to management and governance as the clergy and laity work collaboratively to ensure the work of the Church is conducted with excellence.
